"We fly with our spirit."
I feel a lot of nostalgia for Ghibli films for some reason. Even though I only started watching their films 4 or 5 years ago, I feel an intense, child-like wonder every time I watch one of their films.
Kiki's Delivery Service is an incredibly beautiful film that makes me so, so happy. There were several moments in this film where I was smiling and I didn't really know why.
The worlds in Ghibli films always feel so alive and immersive, so when the film has scenes in it that aren't very plot heavy I just get so happy because it means I get to spend more time in this amazing world. This is definitely one of those films where the plot isn't really the main driving point and it's more focused on the vibe of the whole film.
And do I really need to say anything about the animation? It's stunning.
