pleasantly impressed by this. narrative is a bit blunt and obvious, but its brilliance comes from masterful direction. small character movements, little camera swivels, animals moving around the frame

lovely archival/temporal jumps on a washed out film print evokes a strong sense of nostalgia, and a very good film, even if only half as poetic as 'lost and beautiful'
