Bravo! Not long after the release of the outstanding Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel did it again with Guardians of the Galaxy and now I have a new personal favorite. This is their best work for me because of how funny, unique and thrilling it is. The characters have interesting backgrounds and their interactions are always a lot of fun to watch. The movie also has plenty of heart because they share a troubled and sad past so you end up getting emotionally invested by them. It’s extremely tough to pick an absolute favorite character as each one of them has a moment to shine here. James Gunn directed and co-wrote the film, achieving a perfect balance of humor, style, action and character development. Guardians of the Galaxy reminded me of the first time I watched Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, giving me the same feeling of awe and exhilaration. It's the type of movie that instantly makes you want to experience it again right after seeing it. Everything was so fresh and exciting, being another admirable work from Marvel.
