Bruno’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Thing is an imaginative and highly original horror film, also containing great sci-fi elements in it. Director John Carpenter did a terrific job at building the suspense here and there were plenty of genuinely creepy moments. The practical effects were excellent and still hold up quite well, being actually more effective than the overuse of CGI these days. I liked seeing the extreme tension surrounding the crew, constantly not knowing who could be trusted in the group. The concept of this alien life-form that can assimilate someone, creating a perfect imitation was very intriguing to see and there is a lot of mystery in this film, making it always an engaging watch.
