Red ★★★½

A film about honour, revenge and courage, featuring the superb Brian Cox (with an American accent). He plays an older, somewhat lonely man who has lost his wife and sons in a terrible tragedy. When his last companion (his dog Red) is cold-bloodedly shot by one of a group of kids trying to rob him, he tries to seek redress.

It's a tense thriller, with some great performances, particularly from Cox, who can do 'decent but world-weary' like no one else.
