    There are some things to like. Farrell and Turturro are having fun. The former particularly, and I think he brings the exact energy this was starving for.

    It is incredibly pretty to look at, and that goes a long way with me. Pattinson does a good job with the characterization they settled on. Slow-burn detective piece is a nice direction to move in for this character.

Proud war boys running around keeping it all in line while the poor and indigent have been made incapable of seeing themselves being held down, regarding perfunctory doling out of basic rights as heroic acts of grace.
