Despite the producers ongoing desire to make me dislike every movie he has ever made before said film ends, I still find that his actors transcend his bs.
I liked this film, right up until the end, and still I liked it.

The Internship 2013
Scene: Movie Executive Boardroom 1997
Movie Exec 1: " Boy that Wedding Crashers movie did pretty well!"
Flash forward 2012:
Movie Exec 1: "What about Google Crashers?!"
Movie Exec 2: "Fantastic, we'll use the same script and cast!"
You: "fuck." -

The Great Gatsby 2013
Baz Luhrman made one of my very favorite movies, one that fucked with the same conventions that Gatsby fails to fuck with. This was probably the most disingenuous movies I've seen. Its slick, dull and uninteresting. We've all read the book, yes, all of us except Baz. It is so bad it makes me fearful to go back and watch Moulin Rouge.

Pacific Rim 2013
Enjoyed this film for exactly the reasons we are supposed to enjoy such films. Big, bombastic, beautiful and absurd. Shit blows up real good in a way that totally doesn't suck.

Nebraska 2013
Nebraska is one of those movies that feels important while you are watching it and almost a ghost of a memory after its over. It remind me a lot of that David Lynch movie- the one with the lawnmower. Same sort of thing. Its not a bad thing, but somehow these movies leave me feeling a bit adrift after they are over. Perhaps that is the intention?

Elysium 2013
South African accents are really interesting.
Having said that, I saw this movie twice, a rare thing for me.
The reason I saw it twice is I simply could not figure out if I loved it or hated it. I ended up a bit apathetic about it in the end. It has its moments, but its flaws *almost* outweigh them. -
Now You See Me 2013
Saw this on an airplane. I also saw this when it was about poker. and every other time I've seen a shitty heist movie.

This Is the End 2013
We should all be thankful that none of the cast of "Grown Ups" was in this film, because this film was darn near perfect. Sure it could have gone a little further to get to that final level of laughs, but it still hit the right notes all the way thru.

World War Z 2013
This movie has no idea what it is about. Probably one of the most disjointed films I've seen.
Anyone sick of Zombies yet? -
We're the Millers 2013
The next time someone says that we, as a culture, are just as smart as we've ever been, just invite them to watch this movie. It's like some inside joke you overheard at a restaurant. You heard it, you understand why it should be funny and the fact that the people in the booth next to you are laughing just pisses you off.
Also: Jennifer Aniston starring as Jennifer Aniston. Evidence that the writers on Friends were excellent. Instead of…
