It almost felt like a television movie from the 80s, until I realized how deftly crafted it was. That feeling was entirely intentional. I don't typically go for this sort of film, but if more films were both this well done and well meaning, maybe I would. I like getting in touch with my feelings! Whoever thought to cast Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers was a genius.
