Stalker ★★★★

"Movies are not disappointing because they're disappointing visually. They're disappointing because they're boring and there's nothing about them that really gets to you or gets to your imagination." -Stanley Kubrick

Solaris totally failed at reaching me emotionally. Ivan's Childhood passed with flying colors. Mirror almost got me. How does Stalker fair? Okay.

There’s something about his films that I appreciate but don’t totally connect with, and that’s Tarkovsky for me. The philosophy and themes, by themselves, are perfect and ideal for me to love and adore. However, the execution is often boring and nothing really gets my attention.

("Would you say we would be entering into a zone of danger? A danger zone, if you will?" I love Archer)
