  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

An excellent addition into the Star Wars lineup. Casting choices were perfect, and I especially enjoyed Donnie Yen and the CGI Tarkin. All of my issues with the film are minor, so I'll list them below.
    - The film was dark (lighting-wise), then about 2/3 of the way through they got to a really bright planet, and it was really jarring.
    - Jyn Erso starts out being very cynical, and about halfway through (you'll know the point) she suddenly starts talking all about 'HOPE.'
    - Probably more, but I'd have to watch it again and take notes. As I said, these were very minor issues.

  • The Poseidon Adventure

    The Poseidon Adventure

This movie had a lot of great moments. But there is one aspect that I think really takes away from this being a great movie, the character deaths. They all seem so pointless, and practically all of the deaths could have been avoided in some simple way.

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I feel like it is not right to compare this film to the original Harry Potter films, but I feel I must. While well done, and I have no complaints on the acting or style of the film, it felt like just another blockbuster with a high budget spent mainly on special effects.

The film lacked the whimsy of the first few HP films, thrusting you into a magical and amazing world with hardly any fanfare. There was a lot…

  • There Will Be Blood

    There Will Be Blood

Gripping, emotional, and absolutely mad. This film kept my attention all throughout, but I never guessed what was around every corner. Everything that happened was unexpected, yet perfectly played into the narrative.

  • Alien

An absolutely amazing science fiction film. The constant danger presented to all of the characters makes you feel as though none are safe, up until the moment the credits roll. This film is inventive, thrilling, and an absolute classic.

  • Thunderball

One of the cooler Bond movies, with so much potential. I am such a big fan of the underwater scenes, but there were too many weird visual mistakes and unrealistic scenes.
