"Oh. You think I can have some?"
Wow. I'd heard a lot of chatter about Bone Tomahawk, most of it good, some lamenting the film's slow pace, and all of it making me very curious to see it. I got it for my birthday from my parents last month and tonight felt like a good night to give it a try.
The film is absolutely amazing. It's so well written. It feels real. It's incredibly disturbing in parts, brutally violent. And I mean brutally violent. But the quiet moments are so telling. Zahler knows his characters intimately and his dialogue shows it well. He's obviously lived with this story in his head for a long time.
It's beautiful. It's ugly. It's fascinating. It's a must-see film.
