the premise of this is so intriguing. trauma as a place, how a family or a house or a town can hold so much darkness under the surface. how no matter how far you run it’s always there, waiting, ready to suck you back in. isabel is essentially living out one of my recurring nightmares, bearing that in mind i wanted this to frighten me more.
if i could describe this movie with one word it’d be meandering, this really would’ve been something special with less ambiguity and more commitment to… something, anything honestly. cute pixie cut though.
