• McCabe & Mrs. Miller

    McCabe & Mrs. Miller

I’ve been watching westerns for the past few days and McCabe & Mrs. Miller is my favorite one out of all of them so far. I loved the melancholic atmosphere and the performances felt natural throughout. Tragically beautiful is how I would describe this story.

  • Mickey and the Bear

    Mickey and the Bear

Good directorial debut and the acting was strong throughout.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This was one of my favorite movie’s to watch as kid and I still love to this day. It’s not a perfect movie but it holds a special place in my heart. It does a good job at balancing the grittiness of the original comics and keeping it a light hearted action film at the same time. The Jim Henson costumes still look amazing, the score is pretty cool, and there are some emotional scenes that were handled pretty well.…

  • Lady Bird

    Lady Bird

The most relatable coming-of-age I’ve seen in a while. I can see see why people love this movie so much.

  • Uncut Gems

    Uncut Gems

The Safdie Brothers have proven once again that they’re masters at crafting realistic (yet surreal) and chaotic films. Every single actor gave fantastic performances throughout the movie, especially Adam Sandler. If you’re looking for a movie that gets your heart pumping from start to finish, Uncut Gems is for you.

  • Blindspotting

I don’t know why it took me so long to see this film, but I’m glad that I’ve finally watched it. One of the best movies of the decade.

  • Joker

If this the direction that Warner Bros. is going to go with the DC films, then I’m here for it. The cinematography was fucking beautiful, the soundtrack was well made, and Joaquin Phoenix gave the the best performance of the year. The movie isn’t perfect by any means, but I will say that this my favorite DC movie so far. Hopefully WB will keep this as a standalone film instead of just making it a franchise.
