    You're Next

    ★★½

I really expected this to be one of the better home invasion films. I liked the trailer and I thought I had heard some good things about You're Next. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for this because I didn't like it very much. It felt like it had no substance, wasn't scary or suspenseful and that might have to do with the fact there didn't seem to be any connection to the characters so I didn't really care much. I may give this several months and give it a rewatch.

    Carrie

    ★★★½

The best remake of Carrie but it suffers from following too close to the original. While I don't want a remake to completely stray from an original that I like I also don't want it to be so much like the original either. I enjoyed watching this but seemed disconnected because I knew so much of the movie. Of course they update the story to fit modern day but it's still very predictable even with the few changes/add ons. All that said its worth the watch unless of course you don't like remakes then you will most likely hate it.

    ★★★★½

    Crime Drama 1950's Period Film
Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kim Basinger, Danny DeVito, James Cromwell, David Strathairn

I love it when I find a movie that for the life of me can't figure out how I missed it. L.A. Confidential is a great film full of outstanding performances, I especially liked Guy Pearce, probably because I knew I was going to get a heavy screen presence with Crowe and Spacey. I'm not a huge fan of Guy Pearce,…

    Evil Dead

    ★★★★½

    Supernatural Horror

This is what I want in a Horror film. Did it have a few problems here and there sure but it didn't matter. I loved every minute of the new Evil Dead, I liked the characters, the way it was filmed, the musical score, the gore pretty much everything. This was definitely the most graphic movie I have seen in the theater, Olympic size swimming pool of blood. Even got to see two people walk out lol never…
