What if Wes Anderson remade a Coens movie with the stipulations being it be a squeaky clean G rated family movie, and more capitalism, and less white people.
The end of Dil Se... plays like a twisted version of the grand finale of Blow Out where John Travolta rushes through the Liberty Parade trying to save the innocent Nancy Allen from the murderous John Lithgow; except here, our obsessive, deranged "hero" Shah Rukh Khan is on an impossible task of saving a person who embodies both Allen AND Lithgow. Doomed to fail. Apocalypse Now. If I can't have you, then no one can. Chaiyya Chaiyya no longer.
Holy Mother of God.
