    Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth is a masterpiece through and through. It's a treasure, a jewel of cinema. A work of outstanding artistry. It's daring, beyond imaginative, wondrous, thoughtprovoking,...and full of heart. It's an immediate classic and one of my all time favourites. I always wanted to write a long, detailed, thought out review for it..but I just don't know yet what to write. My brain just can't fully comprehend what it is. Pan's Labyrinth holds the record of longest standing ovation at Cannes films festival, with a whopping 22 minutes. Amazing.

The personal issues the characters experience,…

My first ever Gus Van Sant film! Absolutely adored it! The film's strongest feature is its simplicity. The embedded simplicity which flows through every other aspect of the filmmaking truly makes the film shine and stand out in its own unique way. 10 seconds into the film's runtime and I'm already laughing hysterically. These unexpected moments, which catch you off guard, only add up to the enjoyment. They can make you laugh, make you feel uncomfortable, sad,..etc What I personally…
