Apart from the annoying characters, what angered me most was that it literally did not make sense. I am all for time travel but The Call and Tenet have made me think twice before choosing to watch another one in the future.

I was really bothered by the fact that the lead character did not remember things whenever events in the past changed. What made her so special in the first place? The phone? Where did it come…
It was kinda too predictable for my taste but I don’t think it was a bad, just not as good as I had hoped.
Some of the reviews are somewhat too complex and I think the movie isn’t that complicated. It might seem like it has a an aim to teach us about bullying, sexual assault, or other issues that people generally find disturbing.. but honestly, what was this even? If there’s a message then I did not get it and I was genuinely giving it all my all. And what’s the point of art if it doesn’t make you feel something? I found it…
As a Kurd, my parents had seen these circumstances themselves, relatives and friends dying. I grew up listening to the stories of how innocent children were buried alive, how women were killed and how men sacrificed their lives fighting to protect their loved ones. Of course, there were also traitors, ones who sold innocent lives for their own gains and are still continuing to do so. Life was never easy for us. And even to this day things are not that much different. We’ve still got a long way ahead of us. But we’re not giving up.
