    The 'Burbs

    ★★★

Nothing ground-breaking but entertaining with some genuine laugh-out-loud moments. There's a touching moment when Hanks is flipping through channels and watches Fred Rogers (a man he would portray on screens years later) . Also great to see Brother Theodore after hearing him first in The Last Unicorn (1982).

    I Care a Lot

    ★★★½

I Care a Lot is a bold, original film that delivers uncomfortable situations and wonderfully unlikeable characters. However, it is not one that I will be eager to re-watch anytime soon due to losing itself and becoming rather farcical.

    The Dig

    ★★★½

The Dig is an enjoyable film that, much like the dig itself, starts off measured and gentle. However, it loses its way and if you’re watching it for the archaeology alone you will be disappointed.

    ★★★

Very British humour: likeable cast headed up by Nighy and Blunt, and laugh out loud funny in places.
