  • Paddington 2

    Paddington 2

every ounce as lovely and spectacular as everyone claims. the ending of Paddington 2 may be my favorite ending to any movie ever and there was no stopping my tears. the thoughtful story + the visuals = so very Wes Anderson-esque. an immediate favorite. i’ll proclaim it to the world: I LOVE PADDINGTON BEAR <3

  • Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Portrait of a Lady on Fire

“‘i remember the first time i wanted to kiss you.’
    ‘tell me.’
‘when you asked me if i had ever felt love. i could tell the answer was yes. and that it was now.’”

such a stunning movie. that’s the word i thought of 10 minutes in and it remained to be true through the entire film. the colors are so vibrant yet the story so remorseful. i feel as though the saddest stories are always the most pretty.
    pg. 28

  • Big Fish

    Big Fish

We’re like strangers who knew each other very well.”
have you ever started a movie and within the first minute known it was going to break your heart? known that the story that lay ahead was destined to make you cry so hard you couldn’t catch a breath? i had that feeling with Big Fish. i’ve never started a Tim Burton movie other than Frakenweenie and known right away that it would dissolve me to a heaping mess…
