Since I went to university I’ve never really gotten past finding out that my catholic childhood was weird to people, and that by correcting frequent misinterpretations with the truth, people only find it weirder. This is compounded by other Catholics not getting me bc of my catholic childhood being shaped by a church congregation primarily of English people who I’m assuming chose Catholicism because you just can’t get that level of flash in the COE. 

Anyways we basically tried to do this once a year so it really resonated.
