Jennifer Kent took the world by storm with her debut, "The Babadook", one of the scariest films I've ever seen. This time the terror is more tangible: the evil of white men. It's a fairly straight-forward rape-revenge tale, spiced up with imperial racism, and some aboriginal spiritualism to give it a little colour, but I don't think you need 136 minutes to tell the world of the atrocities committed by the British in their colonies. The acting is superb, as is the cinematography, and the story is great, it just needs some serious editing.

As a former postman, it's hard for me to be completely objective, so I guess it's really only a 4,5 star movie. Being the true story of a man obsessed with a dream, and fulfilling it, it sets an example to all of us. Do whatever you need to do and ignore the narrow-minded society around you. (Being slightly autistic helps, of course). It's nice to see Laetitia Casta on the screen and Jacques Gamblin as the postman himself does an excellent job, sporting a moustasche that would give Nietzsche nightmares.
    A must-see!

Oh dear, not even a mother would love this child. It didn't help that I watched it with a polish voice-over, but the lousy picture quality masked the horrible CGI. Stay away.
