The whole driving sequence is a pretty impressive example of generating anxiety through a limited camera perspective and some deftly placed dialogue. It is perhaps the Safdie's best trick; wise of them to build the majority of their projects on top of it.
Rest of this is pretty insufferable though. Mistrust the Brothers' brand of borrowed cynicism somewhat, but I am very relieved that neither of them strove for this sort of tweeness ever again. I reject this entire conceit tbh. Gettin misty-eyed about the whims and flightiness of NYC's millennial leisure class ? Couldn't be me !
