Ernest Calderon’s review published on Letterboxd :
I came down way too strong on this first viewing. Upon revisit, this film is much closer to being a masterpiece. The Tracy subplot isn't great, but it's not as intrusive as I first perceived it. The bulk of this movie takes place on Trash Island, and the mainland stuff doesn't really ruin the story at all.
Watching this a second time is crucial to wholeheartedly appreciating the detail and creativity of the handmade sets and characters. A true work of art.
