    While this movie doesn’t really resonate with me on a personal level, this is objectively one of the most perfect films I’ve ever seen. It’s dialogue is only used when needed, is the exact perfect length, uses so many interesting visuals to convey what the audience should remember, and is so subtle and suspenseful. The entire heist sequence alone is 30 minutes and contains exactly one line of dialogue only because there is no other way that piece of information…

    I promised myself that I would not compare this movie to Perfect Blue. And yet... this movie was decent, but Perfect Blue just left so much deeper of an impression on me. Aronofsky really seemed to be on the verge of something with this movie, but his adherence and insistence to be in line with another source material to a staggering degree just felt very wrong to me.
