It just gets better and better every time. Having watched so much more of Lynch’s work since I saw this last, I feel like I just get how he operates so much better now, and it allows me to appreciate all the finer details and emotionality of the work instead of just trying to logically piece it all together (which will never truly be possible, even with this one, which lends itself fairly well to a pretty straightforward interpretation).
Beautiful and heartbreaking film. Everything that happens from the sex scene on to the ending still brings me to tears.
