hot take: everything that most disappointed me when i watched the original suspiria is remedied here. all the potential that i always believed argento let slip through the cracks is realized by guadagnino. (i literally got MORE excited to watch this movie when argento recently talked about how much he doesn’t like it.)
yeah, it doesn’t have those neon colors, but like, whoever thought guadagnino was gonna have big gaudy aesthetics was kidding themselves, tbh. i WAY prefer this over the original.
