Groundhog Day was one of my entry points into having an appreciation of film. I've watched it every year since, often repeatedly, with a meta appreciation of its form. I'd like for it to become a significant genre. The idea carries so much weight and has aged so nicely, a perfectly watchable, easy-going film. Maybe the Most Bill Murray film, the ideal set-up for his brand of humor. I've also had a lifelong crush on Andie MacDowell and feel like she's had a career completely below her talents and American Sweetheart kind of beauty.
