My mom showed me this when I was far too young (maybe like 12?) and I haven’t watched it since then. Holy moly, it’s wonderful. So impeccably crafted. Amazing match cuts. Whiplash changes in pace and tone, all perfectly executed.

I don’t understand why people don’t talk about this in terms of top tier Coen. Maybe they do, but they should more.

Also, Barry Sonnenfeld as “Marty’s Vomiting (voice)” is an all time great credit.
