  went into this knowing it was bad; somehow it was worse than i remembered? feels like it was a lazy attempt to spin a new franchise with john jr at the helm, but they blew it. petition for a lucy mcclane franchise instead 🤞🏻

  I was already really angry and frustrated with the way this did an aggressive handbrake turn from 'suspenseful thriller with a possibly unreliable narrator' to a Halloween style slasher movie, but then I went to read about the book and realised that actually a perfectly good, tonally consistent ending was RIGHT THERE in the original material?!

  it's like someone tripped and lost a bunch of the script, so they just scrambled and tried to make sure all the necessary plot points were covered. Netflix owes me damages and 2 hours of my life back
