Watch more, hate less.
This film IS a delicious bowl of ramen.
The main story follows Tampopo and Goro trying to nail the perfect Japanese noodles, and is spiced up by the side stories or vignettes that accompany it. Like a good ramen, where the main focus is the noddle itself, and it’s spiced up by all the other ingredients that accompany it in the bowl.
Juzo Itami, you’re a master of the craft.
What an amazing film. Mads Mikkelsen is amazing in it. He gave a great performance to an amazing character of an incredible script. Thomas Vinterberg has slowly become one of my favorite directors.
This film talks about friendship, family, liberation and love in a beautiful and touching way. I can’t wait for it to get a good distribution deal to see it on the big screen.
There are details throughout the film that are beautifully crafted and have significant payoffs…
