Carl Pink’s review published on Letterboxd :
Tyler Perry gives a sound performance as Dr. Alex Cross in an average cop thriller. Decent origin story though; finding out who/what made Alex Cross the man he is.
Aside: The last time I saw Matthew Fox, it was on a West End stage in a Neil LaBute play. His performance then, alongside Olivia Williams, was superbly acted and pretty intense to say the least. Looks like he got a taste for the extreme as he's nearly unrecognisable in this.
Bottom line: Matthew Fox's villain (Picasso aka The Butcher of Sligo) steals the show. At least watch it for him. Definitely one of my favourite villains of the year.
