DEAR COMRADES! works best as an intimate portrayal of political divisions within a family unit and how fundamental differences in thought can drive individuals away from each other. When the film tries to go more historical and focus on specific politics of the time is when it starts to feel a bit dull. At least Yuliya Vysotskaya is consistently stunning.
Overall Grade: B+
MALCOLM & MARIE features two of the strongest performances of the year from John David Washington and Zendaya but can feel taxing in its screenplay. Its reflections on the film industry is solid, but the relationship drama doesn't quite connect at least to the same level.

WONDER WOMAN 1984 is a blast! Much more charismatic than the first film, the movie balances pure comic book fun with legitimately heavy stakes creating a narrative that feels unique and engaging. The entire cast is fantastic and where the film isn't flawless, it is a resounding success.
