Casey Malone’s review published on Letterboxd:
I still don’t care for the movie’s rehabilitation of Deckard and Rachel’s relationship. In the original, he treats her like absolute shit until the final moments, which I think is a pretty key piece of characterization. And I understand that if you’re shitty to someone for a week and then somehow you find love together, in 30 years no one is going to focus on that first week. But it’s hard for me to buy into the Love For The Ages narrative when the first film exists.
That being said, absolutely gorgeous film, amazing score, Villeneuve is a genius and we have no choice but to stan a 4 story semi-transparent Ana De Armas.
