an incredibly thought-provoking dive into the world of teenage instagram stars and the girls they attract. austyn’s live-broadcasted encouragements are nothing radical - even are incredibly repetitive - but are spoken with so much sincerity that they make you love him even more. liza mandelup is clearly able to capture these controversial kids with so much grace - and is never mocking. would have loved to dive even deeper into this world. like EIGHTH GRADE this film makes me so thankful to be out of my pre-pubescent teenage years. but also makes me nostalgic for them.

really loved this short. the dynamics that come with adding a third to a relationship is something that is very worth exploring. reminded me of many of the nuances in THE FAVOURITE. every touch and glance carried so much weight. also just objectively beautiful.
