stupid but highly iconic
Thousand yard stares and lecherous old men. The way the porn industry thrives off of misfortune is a harrowing thing, and this film illustrates that in a truly unforgettable way.
I must applaud this for its creative premise and treatment of the subject material. By the end you feel about as squeamish as the boys being interviewed. However, I wish that Jones developed this idea further, as the ending comes somewhat abruptly, and the rather on-the-nose narration gave an impression that these ideas would be explored much more thoroughly.
Nonetheless, this provides a very unique telling of a traumatic time for many. You should watch it.
