"We're offering $10,000 to anyone who can capture them dead or alive. Oh sorry, alive. They should be alive."
Taika Waititi is now on my map with the two hilarious films What We Do In the Shadows and this. There's something about his style of humor that I can't really put words to. It's incredibly odd at times, but it's still lovable and very capable of producing laughs. It makes me excited to see where he'll take the new Thor film. Obviously that won't be a full fledged comedy, but I think Waititi has a good grasp on making characters feel human and real, as if you could find them out in public and still laugh/feel bewildered by them. I was also surprised by the emotional impact of some of the scenes, because they were often book-ended by two hilarious ones. A great movie to watch if you're looking for something fun, funny, and lovable.
