Really, same opinion of this as I do of Green Room (see: my review of that). Very cleverly put together, narrative-wise, so it's consistently tense—yet, the way it's captured constrains the brilliance and doesn't conduct into higher, less fleeting atmospherics. It makes a lot of sense that this is this is Saulnier's favorite horror movie. But just to reiterate what I said at the end of my Green Room thought spiel: still great.
