    But I apparently can't just enjoy good things while they last, so I can’t help but ask myself: how many more times can he do this before he has to do something new? After Sicario and Hell or High Water, this is the third time he’s used a uniquely American situation as the context to tell a gripping, slow burn, mysterious revenge story.

    Wonder Woman was ten minutes too long.

    Usually when people say something like “this movie was too long,” what they mean is that the plot needed to be tightened and unnecessary scenes needed to be trimmed. It’s kind of an abstract criticism that usually doesn’t directly address a movie’s problems.

    Well, I know one thing for sure: Bong Joon-ho certainly pulls no punches when it comes to getting his point across.
