“They’re too afraid to really embrace the dark/weird story elements”

Iron Man 3 2013
My first rewatch since seeing it in the theater, and I would say I appreciate it more now than I did then.
Things I enjoyed just as much as the first time:
-Eiffel 65 playing over the Marvel logo
-Tony Stark having anxiety attacks
-Tony going all MacGyver on some bad guysThings I enjoyed more than the first time:
-Trevor
-Tony somehow endearing himself to the audience by being a complete jerk to a kid

Collateral 2004

Such a great concept for a thriller, expertly executed by director Michael Mann. He really nails the sense of place - LA at night is basically the third lead character of the movie.
