Charles’s review published on Letterboxd:
Raw ambition. Equally ironic and endearing that these characters haven’t felt this real and winsome since the Raimi days. This is the first entry in over a decade to fully explore Spider-Man’s primary appeal, that he could be any one of us and any one of us can be him. I’d argue that this is the most adult Spider-Man film yet but that’s one for another day. My screening ended 25 minutes ago and I’m pretty certain this is both one of the best animated films I’ve yet to see and one of the best comic book films I’ve ever seen. This rocked my universe. John Mulaney. Yes.
