    Watched this back in August of 2023 in the Lionsgate studio. A very interesting experience as the final effects had not all been added, so our viewing cohort was left was some goofy temporary graphics. I held off publishing and writing a review thinking it would not be appropriate to release a sub-par review 4 months before the film came out, after having been so nicely invited by an executive.

    3rd movie of the Holiday season and so far, it has been fun to watch some of these for the first time with Emilia! When I think of Christmas movies I think of The Santa Clause. The premise and execution are just so jolly around this time of year, and I think the movie is pretty well written.     Psychologically impactful, thought provoking and generally well acted. Watched Donnie Darko with my buddy Carson this passed week in Raleigh. I think he’d claim this film to be one of his favorite movies. I get the appeal, it’s a fresh feeling story, albeit with a slightly convoluted plot, but an early Jake Gyllenhaal performance that was an initial glimpse at his talent. Wow does Jake look like a baby in this movie!
