They changed the title to ‘Confessions of a Young Bride’ for an international audience.
Oh wow how did I miss this when it came out? I am genuinely bummed that I didn’t see it sooner. It was such a fantastic nod to the 80’s coming of age, music inspired films of the past. It felt like a homage to John Hughes, I literally wanted to re-watch Pretty in Pink the moment this ended. The cast was fantastic, the makeup and costumes were era appropriate & the music was brilliant and almost becomes another character in the film. I absolutely loved it.
Aubrey Plaza hit’s this one out of the park. She commits 100%. She is Ingrid. No other could play her to such perfection. Elizabeth Olsen performance is effortlessly boho-chic she has a such an aura on screen it’s like she was born to play this role. As for O’Shea Jackson Jr, it is hard to believe this is only his second film role. He is an absolute natural, I expect him to have a long career.
It is so hard…
