Ghosts often play a major part in Asian horror movies, so much so that they are often lampooned for it. I’ve seen countless parodies of pale ghosts with long black hair. Sadly, I think that there are some really good movies that get overlooked because they are all lumped together. Shutter happens to be one of those movies.

I was a huge fan of the first Dead Snow, as it blended Nazi Zombies, comedy and buckets of gore perfectly, so I was very excited to hear that Tommy Wirkola was making a sequel. No punches were pulled as the gore is ramped up and the storyline is just ridiculous enough to be highly entertaining.
