Carol Grant’s review published on Letterboxd:
Top-tier Pixar plays like a Mexican musical version of Spirited Away, rife with joyful, inventive energy. It's also their best work as an animation studio, reveling in the depth of a frame, dotting each environment with a wealth of details, and going hogwild with color and lighting in a way they haven't in a long while. It also manages to be very tightly constructed without sacrificing smaller moments allowing the characters to actually breathe. Just an all-around strong film. I wish Pixar would do more original work like this.
