• In the Cut

    In the Cut

    ★★★

One of the most visually enticing films i've seen, i only wish it was just as strong plot wise.

  • Meg 2: The Trench

    Meg 2: The Trench

    ★★

The most absurd film of the entire year, but what can i say? i had fun. can't wait to see The Meg 3 - Across The Megverse, starring The MEGan Thee Stallion, The M3Gan and The Meg Griffin, it will be truly the most MEGorable movie ever made.

Also, best gag in the movie is the scene where the girl sees a mercenary's dead body and decides to rob his ass, that was so brenda from scary movie coded.

(am i tripping or huge parts of those trench scenes were copied from 2020's Underwater?)

My mom said that ruby rose looks like a 2000's customizable video game character and now I can't see her differently

  • Elevator Game

    Elevator Game

    ★½

I remember reading about the urban legend a few years ago, the only difference is that it was called "SeteAlém" and not the elevator game, honestly, i always thought that it would make a pretty cool movie, this is definitely not pretty cool, but at least i laughed nonstop for 90 minutes!

also, i can't believe the protagonist is supposed to be in highschool, HE LOOKS 30 😭😭😭😭

  • Cobweb

    Cobweb

    ★★★½

This is such a fun little horror gem, an intriguing mystery that builds up into a wild barbarian-like third act, featuring some actually impressive camerawork from Samuel Bodin, solid acting from pretty much the entire cast and an ending that i'm not sure if i like it but i do appreciate it for what it is, it might not reach the heights of the aforementioned Barbarian but it is one of the best horror releases of this year.

    Also, i'm…

    Raphael is so me-coded

  • The Portable Door

    The Portable Door

    ★★★

cute, fun and quirky fantasy film, often felt like the type of film i'd watch at cable tv when i was 12 (and i mean that as a compliment!), i need Sophie Wilde in more films though, she's a star!

  • Past Lives

    Past Lives

    ★★★

While watching this i came to a realization that moving stories about relationships aren't my thing, like, i can't exactly find a flaw about this film, it's a good movie, the acting, dialogue, cinematography, they're all good and yet i didn't feel anything at all, not a single emotion beyond "eh, this is fine", maybe i'm the world's least romantic person, because i do like dramas, but romance dramas? yeah no.

  • Polite Society

    Polite Society

    ★★★

gowns... beautiful gowns, beautiful poster too.

  • Walk of Shame

    Walk of Shame

    ★★½

Elizabeth Banks is funny and James Marsden is hot and that's pretty much what the movie is.

  • Misery

me and the celebrity i have a parasocial relationship with 😍

also, god bless ao3, now people just go there instead of doing some kidnapping and ankle breaking.

  • You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah

    ★★½

best character in the entire movie was the older sister who only wanted to hang out with her best friend and watch horror movies, she's literally me.

Also, i just know half of the movie's budget went into getting all those songs for the soundtrack.
