Chandler Ryd’s review published on Letterboxd:
What’s the most cathartic way to do comedy? Tell jokes that are self-implicating. Avoid pointing and laughing at someone across the room.
That’s what this film does, and it had me laughing constantly. He didn’t beat up on conservatives or liberals, but he also didn’t hold back. How? Because what he’s making fun of is hypocrisy, not a political agenda.
And it’s a great whodunnit to boot. Giving away the culprit at the end of Act I was a sly move that pays off.
