Channing Pomeroy’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've been reading a lot of Noir trying to expand beyond the Major Prophets (Hammett, Cain, Chandler) and really enjoying it. When possible I've been watching movie adaptations along with. Some of the best so far are the Woolrich / Truffaut pairings "The Bride Wore Black" and "Waltz into Darkness" (Truffaut's "Mississsippi Mermaid".) The great Goodis books "Shoot the Piano Player" (again Truffaut") and "Dark Passage" (with the Bogart film.)
