    A Goofy Movie

don't have any nostalgia for this one, but had a lot of fun watching it. it is the perfect and never overstays its welcome, though the ending was very lackluster

  • Purple Rain

    Purple Rain

horny movie for a horny soundtrack. some family dynamic stuff happens that never gets resolved either

  • Midnight in Paris

    Midnight in Paris

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

it just takes time traveling ninety years into the past to realize your partner is cheating on you

  • Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe

maybe a bit long for its own good, but it is great to see beavis and butt-head come back and somehow not skipping a beat. the movie is a stupid fun time and i'm glad mike judge is still able to make whatever he wants to

  • Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

    Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

god, this movie sucks lol. i hadn't seen this since it came out as a kid and i feel bad for dragging my parents to watch it with me on opening day now. the cgi looks amazing for its time, but the references to the video game franchise feel forced and the first half reminds me of the political scenes from star wars prequel trilogy, but worse. i couldn't tell you what happens in the second half, but i don't think i missed out on anything

  • Hustle

i love adam sandler. i love basketball. this is a well done sports drama

  • Call Me by Your Name

    Call Me by Your Name

the sufjan stevens songs in this are terrible and feel out of place lol

  • Disney's FastPass: A Complicated History

    Disney's FastPass: A Complicated History

a good observation on the disney fastpass system, but one that comes from someone observing the situation on the outside and at times, shows their favoritism (the first half covering the history of fastpass was far more interesting than the simulation half)

  • Jackass 4.5

    Jackass 4.5

almost all of the scenes in this are better than the actual movie. the outro made me tear up a bit

    holy shit

  • Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That!

    Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That!

the beastie boys rule. i love how crazy the editing team went with filters in the second half to give a concert film that already felt like someone's dad recorded it the extra "i edited this myself and discovered filters for the first time" feel. none of the footage in this ever feels professional, but it is the only concert film where i feel like i am experiencing every moment that was recorded, just like a family home movie

  • The Producers

    The Producers

this whole movie is a god damn laughfest that never wastes a moment, but the central park scene is one of the most romantic scenes i've watched in any film. mel brooks is a damn genius
