Juno. Juno is such a badass. The first time I saw this movie was at my 16th birthday. I made everyone in my birthday party watch a scary movie because well, that's what I was known for in sleepovers.

    Colossal

    ★★★★½

I grew up on watching Ultrama (Tiga), Godzilla, Power Rangers and VR Troopers every Friday night in Philippines. So when I saw the trailer to Colossal I was intrigued and excited. And boy, did it excite me even more, especially the ending.

Colossal is an ambitious science fiction movie with a very original concept. And although I loved it's colossal, ridiculous, and over-the-top premise, the movie so much more underneath. It deals with addiction, the cycle of domestic abuse and toxic masculinity. I never thought I'd every roll my eyes at Dan Steven or find Jason Sudeikis terrifying but yes, it happened.

    Pride & Prejudice

    ★★★★★

The controversial (particularly from Janeites) adaptation of Jane Austen's most of popular work, Pride & Prejudice, is controversial because of it's inclination to be more Bronte and dramatic than Austen.

While I love the more proper, etiquette-focused BBC mini-series, I must admit the addition of beautiful, moving scenery and retelling of key scenes with a little bit more passion than Austen may have intended, really made me fall in love with the story all over again.

The proposal scene in the rain. Oh god, yes! Darcy seems to be at his very best when he's damp and wet.

Beautifully eerie and atmospheric, Blackcoat's Daughter is very good at making you very, VERY uncomfortable.
