I was very fixated on this like it looked bad because of so many things decomposing and I wanted to watch the original unedited version for obvious reasons. Other than that, you can see how good the original film looked with gorgeous set pieces and costumes. Not to mention Lon Chaney's makeup job??? That iconic look that has become iconic imagery for horror?? I was shook. Like it still looks terrifying after all this time. So good. I'm very glad this held up after the disappointing Universal remake I had to sit through last week.
